Hi. I just purchased my first annual pass and I plan to visit WDW in January 2017. I plan to activate my pass at the park, on my first visit. Will I be able to get free parking on that day? Right before the activation? Thanks.

Welcome, too, to the Disney Annual Pass family. You are going to love the flexibility your AP affords you, and the benefits of being a Walt Disney World Annual Passholder are magical! We enjoy great savings from trip to trip simply by having 365 days of park hopping for one price, select dining and merchandise discounts, free Disney PhotoPass downloads as well as free theme park parking. What a great deal!

I called Walt Disney World on your behalf to be sure that my answer to your parking question is correct. You should receive a voucher in the mail for your Annual Pass. That AP voucher should be enough for you to be able to park for free at the theme park of your choice on the day you plan to activate your Annual Pass. If, for some reason, the Cast Member assisting you at the entrance to parking charges you anyway, simply bring that parking receipt to the ticketing area when you activate your Annual Pass. At that time, you will be reimbursed for the parking fee.

While I always link my new Annual Pass to My Disney Experience, I also bring that voucher with me on the day I plan to activate it. Bring yours, too, so that you can enjoy free parking as you make your way to a year's worth of Disney Parks fun!
