Hi Pamela! Welcome to planDisney.
Sounds like your family is looking to be immersed in
The World's Most Magical Celebration at
Walt Disney World Resort. After spending the last few days enjoying some of the specialty-themed treats found in the
50th Anniversary Celebration Sips and Bites Guide, I can share that the culinary team is on top of their game!
Correct, you need to make
Disney Park Pass Reservations prior to your theme park visit, even with your purchase of a valid
Theme Park Ticket as prompted at the time of purchase. Reading this, it's apparent you have yet to reserve the parks you intended to visit. As you can see from the
availability calendar here, as of today, I am sorry to report, that there are no parks available to reserve. People change plans every day and I do encourage you to check back frequently. However, I am going to suggest you look at other dates to reserve and change the start date of your ticket.
You can change the start date of your theme park ticket with no penalty up to midnight eastern time the day prior to your start date. Open the
My Disney Experience Mobile App and click on the three horizontal lines in the bottom right-hand corner. Click on "Tickets and Passes," select the ticket, and "Change Tickets." Choose a new date to visit and pay any difference in the cost as tickets are date-based in price. Once done, I highly recommend going back to the Disney Park Pass Reservation page to secure your desired dates.
I am sorry this may alter your original plans, but I promise the Magic will be waiting for you. Many thanks for visiting us at
planDisney. We are everyday guests like you here to help with tips and suggestions.
Keeping it Magical,
Cindy
