Hiya, Lori! I am so sorry you are having tech issues, but I am glad you came to planDisney for help. Let's see what we can do with a little bit of faith, trust and pixie dust!
Solving tech challenges in this forum can be, well, a challenge. Based on what I know from your questions, I'll give it my best shot and share some of the steps that helped me arrange trips and tickets across my family's
MyDisney accounts.
The first thing I would do is see if your daughter can reassign one of the tickets to her daughter. My kids are now old enough to have their own MyDisney accounts. I am very excited they can see all the plans on their
My Disney Experience app. Through getting their accounts set up, I learned the tickets I recently purchased and assigned to them for a trip in October are now in their control; I can no longer reassign them. They can, but I cannot. I would ask your daughter if she can assign one of them to her daughter. Fingers crossed, it will be that easy.
Onto the next issue! I am unsure why the profile disappeared from your connected Guests. Let's start by opening your
Family & Friends list. Select "+ Add a Guest." Does her profile appear under "Guests You May Know"? If so, you can easily ask to reconnect by selecting her account. If not, ask your daughter to go to her Family & Friends list and select "List & Search Settings" next to her own profile at the top of the page. On the screen that appears, make sure the option to "Share your Family & Friends list so it's easier for people you may know to connect with you and with each other" is set to green. You should then be able to see your granddaughter's profile to request to add her as a connection. If she is a minor or her account is managed by an adult, this will initiate an email to the person who manages the account for approval.
Since you will all be together soon at
Walt Disney World Resort, you can also add her by going to "+ Add a Guest" and scanning a linking code from the app of the person who manages her account. This option is easy to do in person. You can also do this remotely by asking for the linking code.
If these ideas do not help, you can
call and speak with a Cast Member. The number for Existing Tickets can help assign the tickets to the right Guests, and Website Support has the tech know-how to help with the profiles.
With your trip to Walt Disney World Resort just a few days away, I hope these steps help or a Cast Member can sort it out for you. And I hope your trip is sprinkled with pixie dust and magic!
If you have any other questions, please stop back by
planDisney. We're happy to help!
