I purchased my family Florida resident tickets (I am a Florida resident) but my mom is not. I didn't know I couldn't buy a ticket at my rate and gift it. Is there a way we can pay the difference and she still use her ticket?

    Hi there, Haley!

Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for sending us your question. Buying your mom a theme park ticket is so sweet! My Floridian family members love how easy it is to spend a day at Walt Disney World Resort, and it is even more fun when enjoying time with one of your parents.

Most theme park tickets can be upgraded in your My Disney Experience account, either on the mobile app or the Walt Disney World website. In the app, click the three lines on the bottom of the homepage and select "My Tickets and Passes." Choose your mom's ticket to see if a "Modify" option is available. This can also be done on the website under "My Plans". Sometimes tickets cannot be modified this way. In that case, I recommend calling the "Existing Tickets" line to get assistance from a Cast Member, or stopping by a ticket booth located outside any of the theme parks or in Disney Springs

One of my favorite events is occurring during your visit, the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival! My kids love walking through Butterfly Landing to see the colorful butterflies fluttering around. It is good luck if a butterfly lands on you (at least that is what I tell my children)! We also enjoy sampling the delicious food at the Outdoor Kitchens and finding topiaries of beloved Disney Characters.

Haley, enjoy your time at Walt Disney World with your mom! We hope to see you real soon!

    You are the magic!
