I purchased an extra oogie boogie ticket for a guest that I wasn’t sure could make it and turns out he can’t. What are my options??

Happy haunts, Amanda, and welcome to planDisney! Can you believe the Halloween season is creeping up so quickly? The first Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party date is just around the corner, and before we know it, those haunted gates will open for a frightfully fun time!

It sounds like you're an amazing friend for snagging an extra Oogie Boogie Bash ticket for a pal, even if they can't make it to the ghoulish gathering. What a thoughtful gesture! I'm so glad you were able to score tickets to the event yourself. Having gone for the first time last year, it was an absolutely awesome time. I even just bought a ticket for this year's event, and my coworkers will be joining me—many of whom have never been! I can't wait to see their reactions when they step into the Halloween magic.

While Disneyland Resort tickets, including special event tickets, cannot be re-sold (we wouldn't want any "Nightmare Before Christmas" tricksters out there!), you're more than welcome to gift your ticket to another Guest. It's super simple to do, and there's no need to feel like you're stuck in a "Halloweentown" dilemma! The simplest way to share the spooky fun is to screenshot the ticket and send it to them. However, for the smoothest experience, I'd recommend having that person actually link it to their MyDisney account so it's easy to access during their visit. To do that, they'll just need to open the Disneyland mobile app, tap the menu (☰) button at the bottom right, and then select "My Tickets & Passes". From there, they'll tap the blue plus (+) sign in the top right, followed by "Link Tickets & Passes". They'll then have a couple of options: They can either scan the ticket's barcode on the "Camera" tab or manually enter the ticket number on the "Type ID" tab. Once the ticket is successfully linked, they'll receive a confirmation message in the app, just like magic!

Now, you might be wondering about the name on the ticket. If it doesn't match their own name, no worries at all! They can still use the ticket to enter the park. Just keep in mind that once the ticket is scanned, it can only be used by that person. Their photo will be taken, linking that individual to the ticket for all future entries. If you'd prefer to update the name on the ticket so it doesn't get mixed up with any other tickets you may have (and to avoid any "What's this?" confusion like Jack Skellington!), that's a simple process as well. Just give the tickets line a call, and a friendly Cast Member will be happy to help you with that.

I hope these tips were helpful, Amanda! You have a lot to look forward to at Oogie Boogie Bash! This wickedly fun event includes delightful treat trails featuring some of your favorite Disney Villains, the Frightfully Fun Parade with Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse (and—you guessed it—even more villains), and, of course, the chance to enjoy some of your favorite attractions with shorter wait times! It's going to be a scream!

May your Oogie Boogie Bash be filled with more treats than tricks, and magically eerie memories that will last until next Halloween! If any other ghostly questions materialize before your visit, don't hesitate to conjure us up again here at planDisney!
