I purchased tickets/reservations for the end of the month but we have to postpone our trip how do I switch my tickets/dates?

Hi there, Angelina! Welcome to planDisney!

I’m so bummed to hear you need to postpone your visit to Walt Disney World. I know it must be disappointing, but the good news is that there really is never a wrong time to visit! That goes double if you visit any time before March 31st, 2023, as you’ll arrive in time to join in on the fun of Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary Celebration. There is so much to enjoy during The World's Most Magical Celebration, including the stunning Beacons of Magic throughout all four theme parks. You'll love how the legendary theme park icons have been transformed into EARIdescent wonders of light and color. They really take your breath away!

So, Angelina, I’d be happy to help you change the date of your tickets. But, first, I want to remind you to check the Theme Park Availability Calendar to ensure the parks you are hoping to visit are available before selecting your new dates. As a reminder, a reservation is required for the first park you plan to visit daily. You will need to cancel and create new reservations, so I would hate for you to change your tickets only to find that your preferred theme park is sold out!

Now, to change the start date on your tickets, you’ll just need to follow the steps below before your originally scheduled ticket start date:

    • First, log into your My Disney Experience app.
    • Next, open up the menu by clicking on the three stacked lines in the bottom right corner, and click on "Tickets and Passes."
    • Then, click on the ticket you currently have scheduled.
      Select "Change Ticket."
    • Use the calendar to select the new date and follow the prompts to complete the change; you are all set!

If for whatever reason, you do not see the “Change Ticket” option, you’ll just need to give the Existing Tickets team a call at 407 934-7639. One of the fabulous Cast Members on this team will be happy to help you.

I do hope this answer has been helpful to you! If you have any other questions as you continue to plan your rescheduled Walt Disney World vacation, feel free to visit us again and we will be happy to help!

    Have a magical day!
