Hiya Bobbie! Welcome to planDisney! You've come to the right place with your question as I know many Guests have been in a similar situation, and I'm so happy to hear that you are planning your return to the magic this fall! I personally love
Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort, and the best part is ... it starts in September! You are going to just love walking down Main Street, U.S.A., snapping a picture with the iconic Mickey pumpkin, seeing your favorite characters in costume, and taking a spin in a Doom Buggy through Jack Skellington's
Haunted Mansion Holiday!
I can get a little carried away when it comes to talking about the holidays at the Happiest Place on Earth! Let's get back to your ticket question and get you all squared away so that you can move on to planning some fun days at the parks! While the
Disneyland Resort did extend expiration dates initially for tickets purchased in 2020, those dates have now passed ... but there is a little bit of pixie dust built into each and every
ticket that never fully runs out! You are able to use the value of your original ticket towards the purchase of a new ticket so long as the new ticket is of equal or higher value. To get started, give our
Guest Services team a ring at (714) 781-4636. The Cast Members will be happy to help you!
As part of the return to the magic, all Guests will need both a theme park ticket and a
theme park reservation to enter the parks. You will be able to make the reservations for your days when you purchase your ticket. I think it's easiest to think of them separately - the ticket allows you entrance to the park while the reservation is the day on which you are attending. The reservation can be canceled and rescheduled if anything comes up, but they are limited and subject to availability. Reservations open up 120 days out, so my recommendation would be to make the reservations even if your dates are still tentative, knowing they can be modified at a later time. You can always keep your eye on the
theme park reservation calendar to check for open dates!
If you are in the mood for some special Halloween Time entertainment, you might want to consider tickets to the
Oogie Boogie Bash at Disney California Adventure Park! Spend the night mixing and mingling with some rarely seen Disney Villains, special treats, and spooky haunts! We don't have dates quite yet, but the
Disney Parks Blog is a great place to find the latest breaking news and information!
Bobbie, I hope this was helpful in your planning! If you have any more questions, you know where to find us at
