Hi Christine,
I'm so glad your confusion led you to planDisney! When it comes to questions about navigating the
My Disney Experience mobile app, I've definitely been there and am happy to break down the steps to enjoying your great, big, beautiful tomorrow at Walt Disney World Resort with family and friends.
Through the magic of Disney technology, you have the power to assign all of the tickets currently in your possession to the other members of your party. The first step in this journey is to create your own
My Disney Experience account. Each member of your party is not required to have their own My Disney Experience account, but everyone needs to have a profile on someone's account. To simplify the process of linking tickets, all members of your planning party interested in having their own account should create one before the tickets are linked.
The next item on the to-do list is to make sure everyone in your party is linked and visible on your
Family and Friends list in My Disney Experience. This is important because you can only assign tickets to people on your Family and Friends list. To do this in the My Disney Experience mobile app, complete the following steps:
1. Click the three small, horizontal buttons on the bottom right-hand side of the homescreen.
2. Scroll down and select "My Profile."
3. Click on the "Family and Friends List" Tab.
4. Click "Add a Guest."
5. Enter the First Name, Last Name, and Age of one of the Guests in your party. Birthday is also required for Guests age 17 or younger. Note that Guests under 13 cannot have their own My Disney Experience accounts and their information will be managed solely by the person inputting their information.
6a. For Guests age 13 and over with their own My Disney Experience account, select "Share Planning with this Guest" and input their email address. The Guest will receive an email asking them to accept the invitation. Once accepted, you will be able to see them on your Family and Friends list.
6b. For Guests age 13 and over whose information you will be managing on your account, click "I'll manage all plans for this Guest." Their name will automagically appear on your Family and Friends list.
7. Below your Family and Friends list, make sure "Yes, share my Family and Friends list" is clicked, which ensures every member of your party will be able to make plans together.
Once all members of your party are connected as Family and Friends in My Disney Experience, here are the steps to linking your tickets in the My Disney Experience app:
1. Click on the three small, horizontal lines on the bottom right of the homescreen.
2. Click "Tickets and Passes."
3. Click the "+" sign at the top right corner of the screen.
4. Click "Link Tickets and Passes."
5. Type or scan the ID code for one of your tickets and click "submit."
6. Select the member of your Family and Friends list to whom you would like to assign this ticket and click "Confirm." You will receive a confirmation message that your ticket has been linked and can repeat the same process for the other five tickets.
Once all of your tickets are linked, you are able to make Park Pass reservations, which are currently required for theme park entry. To scan into the theme parks, you can use a MagicBand, card, or the Disney MagicMobile Service.
If confusion calls again, Christine, planDisney is here to answer!
