Hi, We purchased Disney tickets due to travel in March 2020 and Covid happened and our tickets expired in September 2021 and we were unable to travel in 2021 but we have now re-booked but still wish to use our tickets? What are our options?

Hey Howdy Hey Gemma and welcome to planDisney!

I am so excited to hear that you were able to rebook your trip and plan on visiting us here in the Most Magical Place on Earth real soon! The fall is such a great time to visit Walt Disney World Resort for so many reasons. A great festival is happening over at EPCOT, special ways to celebrate the season over in Magic Kingdom are just a few of my favorites which we will get into more later. Let's talk about your ticket situation and what to do with expired tickets.

In many past cases, especially with your situation of a canceled trip in 2020, any unused tickets still have some value. In the past, Disney has honored the price paid for the tickets and has been able to apply that amount to the purchase of new tickets. Prices are relative to the day of the week and change depending on the season, so just be aware you still might have to pay the difference from what you paid compared to the price of tickets for this year's travels. The way to get this done is with a phone call to Disney. Make sure you have the original confirmation number of your ticket purchase handy if you still have it or the credit card number that you originally used.

Hopefully, that is a quick process you can get done easily by talking with the Cast Members and then back to planning your Magical holiday! One of the bigger happenings going on during your stay would be over at EPCOT. EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival is one you want to make sure you have ample time dedicated to perusing around. This celebration of all things food and drinks has something for everyone in booths across much of the park. So many great choices and entertainment some may find it hard to find a place to start! No worries Gemma, our friends over at Disney Parks Blog have a special Foodie Guide to give you the scoop on some of the big highlights of the festival and give you a place to start!

Over in Magic Kingdom, you should be able to experience the park dressed up for the fall season. So many seasonal touches of the fall throughout the park make for some great and special photo spots. One other big addition to the park for the fall is the return of the beloved Mickey's Not-So-Scarry Halloween Party. This celebration of the Halloween season is one you might want to check out. With special parades and firework shows unique to the party as well as Halloween overlays on some of our favorite attractions and of course, trick-or-treating throughout the park, you won't want to miss this special party!

Best of luck as you continue to move forward in planning your upcoming trip. If you have any further questions please feel free to reach out and let us know, we would be happy to help!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Nick
