If I purchased my Disney resort reservation and my park tickets separately from each other ( not a room/ticket package) can I purchase a meal plan ?

    Hey, Howdy Hey, Sally!

Welcome to the planDisney Roundup. It’s so nice to meet you. I’m even more excited to hear that you will be visiting Walt Disney World. What’s your countdown look like? That’s my family’s favorite part, counting down until we get there. And then I guess arriving there becomes their favorite part. The whole process is so fun, start to finish!

Good news, Sally, adding a dining plan to your Disney vacation may still be possible. The easiest way to check is by calling the Disney Resort Hotel Reservation line. Just let the Cast Member know that you may be interested in adding a dining plan, and they will be more than happy to check to see if your existing reservation is one that can be modified. If it can be modified, with the wave of a wand, a few clicks of a keyboard, you’ll have a dining plan added. Keep in mind that you will have a balance update, and a payment towards your new reservation may be needed while you’re still on the phone.

Now, which dining plan are you looking to add? My go-to is the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan since we are an on-the-go type of family. During the warmer months, we will upgrade to the Disney Dining Plan. The Disney Dining Plan allows us to escape the heat and enjoy a longer, air-conditioned meal. It’s the perfect refresh and refuel for those summer visits. Honestly, though, whichever dining plan you go with is going to be a great one.

Enjoy everything the Walt Disney World Resort has to offer, and please enjoy a Mickey-shaped treat for me!

Remember, you’ve got a friend in me, so if there's anything else I can help with, ask away

Hi ya Pals! I'm Shantel, an Army wife and mom of two. I grew up going to the parks, and now we're sharing that tradition with our kids. When I am not visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, I'm at home researching and planning for our next trip. One of my favorite things to do is search for new snacks to try, especially if they are Mickey shaped. I'm definitely living the dream my heart wished for! I cannot wait to answer your questions and help make your vacation even more magical!
