Hi, Nicole, and welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad you stopped by with your question about your Walt Disney World vacation!
There are so many fun things to do in The Most Magical Place on Earth, and the best part is, they're not all inside a theme park! For my family, it's always important to get a little downtime on our Disney World vacations. Sometimes, that means relaxing at our resort pool - but if we can squeeze in a round of mini-golf or a visit to one of Disney's incredible water parks, well, that's all the better!
Nicole, the Water Park and Sports add-on gives you access to some of Disney World's most enchanting hidden gems, including Disney's Typhoon Lagoon, Disney's Blizzard Beach, and two magical miniature golf courses:
Winter Summerland Miniature Golf (located right next to Blizzard Beach) and
Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf (located over at The Walt Disney World Swan Hotel). Since you purchased the Water and Sports Option, you'll get access to one of these experiences for each day of your standard park ticket. You can also use this option to check out the
ESPN Wide World of Sports or even for a round of golf (or FootGolf!) over at
Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course.
It sounds like you're most interested in water parks and mini-golf, Nicole, so let's dive right in and focus on those. First of all, I'm happy to share that you won't need park reservations to enter the water parks. Personally, I find this super convenient, since it allows you to keep things spontaneous (if that's your vacation vibe). On the day or days that you want to visit, simply show up at the water park (whichever is open at the time of your visit), and use your MagicBand+ or My Disney Experience app to enter the water park. If you're using Disney transportation to travel to the water parks, it may be helpful to know that you'll need to first travel to Disney Springs, where you can board a bus that's bound for wet and wild fun!
Now that we've covered the water parks, let's move on to those miniature golf courses. Walk-ups are welcome at both courses, and my family has always had good luck with showing up on the fly. Still, it's always smart to reserve your spot in advance if you know when you're planning to visit. You can do that by calling (407) 939-7529 and speaking directly with a Cast Member.
Nicole, I hope your upcoming visit is nothing short of magical! If you have any other planning questions, you know where to find us right here at planDisney!
Stay cool,
Allison
