We have purchased our Disney passes in advance of our trip. How do we receive the memory maker? it is included in our ticket. Also, what is the difference between Lightning Lane v Genie +?

    Hey, Victoria. Welcome to planDisney!

I bet you're counting down the day until you'll be jetting off to a whole new world. Mickey and Minnie can't wait to see you.

And here's some magical news for you, Victoria: If you have Memory Maker included in your holiday package, you'll be able to enjoy unlimited downloads of your Disney PhotoPass photos. If you've purchased 7-Day or 14-Day Magic Tickets, you will have Memory Maker included in your ticket.

You can even share your photos with up to 25 members on your Family & Friends list. Now don't worry about not seeing it on your My Disney Experience account yet. As soon as you get your very first Disney PhotoPass picture, your Memory Maker will magically activate. “Ka-Chow!” You'll be able to then view your photos on your My Disney Experience mobile app.

Also, just be aware that once you activate Memory Maker, your Disney PhotoPass media will expire after 45 days and can no longer be downloaded after that time. Therefore, make sure you save all your photos to your device(s) once you get home from your "jollies." Sometimes, people forget to do this and are very sad to discover all their magical photos are no longer available. So don't make the same mistake!

When it comes to the Disney Genie service, there are a couple of different ways to experience shorter waits for attractions. Let me do my best to explain the difference between Disney Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lane entrances.

Disney Genie+ upgrades your ticket to allow you to select Lightning Lane entrances at over 40 attractions throughout the theme parks. These Lightning Lane entrances allow you to skip the regular standby lines. Guests can purchase Disney Genie+ on a day-to-day basis starting at midnight. You don't have to be staying on property to do this. Once you purchase Disney Genie+, starting at 7:00 AM on the day of your visit, you'll be able to make your first Lightning Lane selection. Once you enjoy that attraction, or two hours after making your selection (whatever comes sooner), you can then make another Lightning Lane selection. You can keep doing that throughout the day until there are no more Lightning Lane selections available.

This is another way to skip the regular standby lines and that's by purchasing an Individual—or à la carte—Lightning Lane. These are available for some of the more high-demand attractions in the theme parks (e.g. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and TRON Lightcycle / Run). You can use this service with or without purchasing Disney Genie+. However, even if you have Disney Genie+, Individual Lightning Lanes do cost extra. The cost of each Individual Lightning Lane varies by attraction. You can book up to two Individual Lightning Lane entrances per day per Guest.

I hope that's helpful, Victoria. If I can help you with anything else, don't hesitate to reach out. As we say in Liverpool, "Have a boss holiday!"
