Hey there, Donald! Thanks for bringing this great question to planDisney!
Memory Maker is one of my favorite vacation investments because I truly believe that "takin' pictures is makin' memories!" With
Disney PhotoPass photographers all around the theme parks, you're sure to capture many of your family's magical memories during your upcoming visit!
Donald, I'm glad to share with you that there are some opportunities to find photographers beyond the theme parks. One of my favorite places to take some photos is at the
Disney PhotoPass Studio at
Disney Springs. Here, you will find an assortment of backgrounds and you're welcome to take as many photos as you would like! My daughter and I had a blast doing this on a recent trip - we even had some magical friends appear in some of our photos! The studio is typically open from 11 AM - 9 PM, but hours are always subject to change and can be verified through your My Disney Experience mobile app! It's also great to know that the studio does not require reservations, so you can stop by whenever you have time!
Another PhotoPass setup can be found at
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa on the second floor of the resort, which features a watercolor backdrop and an opportunity to take a photo with Cinderella's glass slipper. The hours for this are not on a set schedule, and the photographer availability is subject to change, but a Cast Member I spoke with said there is typically a photographer available throughout the day for this experience!
Finally, there are sometimes PhotoPass photographers available to capture photos at certain dining reservations. While this is subject to change, we have personally encountered photographers at the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue, Chef Mickey's, and 'Ohana to capture family photos before we were seated.
Donald, inside the theme parks, be sure to chat with your photographers about
Magic Shots; they can often add a little extra magic to some of the photos they capture! They might also have props or other fun ideas to help you create some unique photos! One of my favorite photo locations is inside Magic Kingdom Park and features the light-up lanterns from
Tangled. This is located between Fantasyland and Liberty Square, near the Rapunzel-themed restrooms, and starts at dusk. It's truly magical to see the floating lanterns gleam and to be a part of that magical moment! And don't forget to smile when you're enjoying your favorite attractions - you never know when your image might be captured! Ride photos always make for some of the best memories!
Say Cheese,
Alison
