I have purchased Disney Gift Cards to use for meals etc for our trip. Can I have them added to my account at guest services in our hotel so I can use my magicband and to pay for everything? If they don’t do that can I call now before my trip and add it?

    Hi Alexandra! Welcome to planDisney!

Can you believe that your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is less than one week away?! Disney Resorts Collection hotel? Check. MagicBands? Check. Walt Disney World theme park tickets and Disney Park Pass reservations? Double check! There may be a lot of planning that goes into a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth, but it is definitely worth it.

I absolutely love the convenience that MagicBands offer! Between opening my Disney Resort hotel room door, entering the theme parks, capturing Disney PhotoPass photos, and making purchases with one little tap, the power of a relaxing vacation rests beautifully on my wrist.

While you can't link a Disney Gift Card directly to your MagicBand or hotel account, you can use your Disney Gift Cards to pay down the balance of your hotel account. You'll need to have a credit card linked to your hotel account to make purchases with your MagicBand, but you can visit the Front Desk and ask to use your gift cards to pay off your account so your purchases won't be charged to your credit card. This is such a great way to budget for your vacation!

I hope this helps, Alexandra! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
