Hey Brenda, and a magical welcome to planDisney!
Thanks for stopping by with your great question. I’m so glad you’re planning ahead. With a Disney Gift Card in hand, you’re already one step closer to a practically perfect vacation!
Now, while the
My Disney Experience app is full of magical features, it doesn’t currently allow you to store Disney Gift Cards directly to your account or app the same way you might add a credit card. But don’t worry! You can absolutely use your Disney eGift Card for all sorts of purchases, including theme park tickets, dining, merchandise, and even toward your Disney Resort hotel stay!
Here’s the best way to make it work smoothly:
I always recommend keeping your gift card info handy by saving the card number and PIN in a secure Notes app on your phone or emailing it to yourself (just make sure it’s protected!). You can also bookmark
DisneyGiftCard.com. This official site lets you combine multiple cards (up to $1,000 per card) and keep track of your balance like a budgeting fairy godparent! Also, if you have an iPhone, you should be able to add them to your digital wallet. I have done that before and it is a super handy trick to keep them easily accessible.
Lastly, don’t forget! You can use your Disney Gift Card during mobile checkout for dining and merchandise through the My Disney Experience app by manually entering the card number at the time of payment.
Hope that helps clear things up, Brenda. If you have any more questions about
dining,
shopping, or how to stretch those gift card dollars like Elastigirl, we’re always here to help.
Wishing you a vacation full of sweet memories and magical moments!
Faith, trust, and a little gift card dust,
Emille
