Hello! We have purchased the Disney Dining Plan for our trip in November. If we would like to go to a restaurant that requires 2 table-service meal tickets, is there anyway to apply only one ticket and pay the difference with cash? Thanks for your help!

It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Vicki!

My family really loves the Disney Dining Plan, and we use it almost every time we travel to Walt Disney World Resort. There are a lot of reasons why we keep coming back to it, but above everything else we love the flexibility it gives us to try pretty much whatever we want. I just made some advanced dining reservations for an upcoming trip this year where we're going to try a handful of restaurants we haven't tried before, including a bunch of signature dining experiences, so let's talk about how you can use your Dining Plan so that you're able to enjoy some of these signature restaurants as well.

One of my favorite ways to make the most of my Dining Plan is by combining two Table-Service credits to eat an incredible meal at some of the world-class signature restaurants at the theme parks, Resort Hotels, and Disney Springs. When you redeem your credits, you'll receive a beverage, entrée, and dessert, or all of that plus an appetizer if you're using the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan. If you're eating at a signature restaurant using the Dining Plan, you will need to redeem two of those credits per person as there isn't a way for everyone to just use one credit and then pay the difference out of pocket. Sometimes, my husband and I will go to a signature meal and order a few appetizers and then split the entrée and dessert, so you might want to consider ordering this way if you want to experience some fine dining without using two Table-Service credits per person.

    Have a magical day, Vicki!
