Hello. We purchased the Disney Dining plan and I have read on some websites that when you are using a quick service credit, you may now substitute your dessert for a Snack Credit (must be in the same transaction). Can you confirm that you can do this?

    Hi Stacey,

Thanks for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. Is your trip coming up soon? I hope so. I can't wait for my next vacation to Walt Disney World Resort.

We love the Disney Dining Plans. They are so convenient in that you don't need to worry about meal budgets or how much you will have to spend. And to answer your question, yes. You can substitute the dessert for any eligible snack at the same location, when done in the same transaction. Many times, we would skip dessert and opt for bottled water. And when dining at our Resort hotel, we typically substitute the drinks for a juice or pastry - breakfast for the following morning!

Note that there's a couple of slight changes in the 2017 Disney Dining Plans. Dessert will not be offered on Quick-Service meals, however the plans will include additional Snacks. Make sure you check the corresponding plan details for more information.

One last tip: you can make advanced dining reservations up to 180 days before arrival. But if you were not able to make one, keep checking, and the My Disney Experience mobile app makes this a breeze. See you real soon!
