Hi, there!
Aaron, I'm thrilled to hear you'll be visiting the
Walt Disney World Resort this Spring. Magic will be blooming all around you!
The
Disney Dining Plan is a must-do for my family. We just love the convenience and flexibility it adds to our Disney vacations! You ask a great question about your toddler. Children under the age of 3 are not eligible for the Disney Dining Plan, so they do not receive meal and snack entitlements or a refillable drink mug. Your little princess may share from an adult plate at no extra charge (or from your 6-year old's plate), or you may purchase an additional meal for her and just pay out-of-pocket for it.
I think you'll find that portion sizes at most dining locations are very generous! In my family's experience, there has always been
more than enough to share with our 2-year old. In the few instances that we've ordered an extra meal for our toddler, it's been super easy and inexpensive to do.
Did you know that children under the age of 3 can eat for free at all-you-care-to-enjoy dining locations like
Chef Mickey's and
The Crystal Palace? These restaurants feature special sections on the buffet with kid-friendly fare like chicken nuggets, mac and cheese, and tater tots, which are perfect options for my 2-year old. Most
Character Dining Experiences have all-you-care-to-enjoy menus, so I suggest booking a few during your stay. They're an exceptionally great value on the Disney Dining Plan!
I hope this was helpful, Aaron. Please let me know if you have any other questions about traveling to the
Walt Disney World Resort with little ones in tow!
