    Hi, I purchased the dining plan with our vacation package. I was making reservations at dining places that take the dining plan, but it says I have to pay for it up front with my credit card. Is that just to hold reservations ?

    Hi Dana,

    Thanks for checking with the Moms Panel on this one. The prepayment and credit card hold policies can be a little confusing.

    Many of the most popular Disney restaurants require a credit card to hold the reservation and you won't be charged unless you are a no-show.

    However, a few of the special dining events -- including Cinderella's Royal Table -- require prepayment, but there is a way to use your dining plan credits. My Moms Panel colleague Amanda recently explained how that works very well, so I am going to refer you to her expertise.
