We have purchased the dining plan and have two teens and one 9 yr old. My question concerns my very picky 15 year old son. Will he be able to order from the kids menu even though he counts as an adult?

    Hi, Eric!

You are going to LOVE the Dining Plan!

Age-wise, we were in the same situation when our daughter first became old enough to count as an adult on the Dining Plan...no worries!

While she was often unable to order from the kids' menu, we simply asked the server if there was anything that could be done at each restaurant, we were often offered an adult-sized portion of a kids' menu selection. (To be honest, we've even had an adult-sized portion of a kids' menu selection brought out for my husband, who isn't picky, but was really in the mood for chicken tenders. :-))

On the other hand, you can also ask your server about substitutions on the adult menu. For example, if your son enjoys chicken or steak, ask your server to hold the sauce and serve it with french fries, if that's on the menu elsewhere. We even had a bowl of Mickey-shaped pasta with butter brought out at The Crystal Palace...and they have so much food at that spectacular buffet! While your son may be picky about what he eats, he still probably needs more than what a 9-year-old would eat, quantity-wise. So go ahead and speak with your servers about your options at each restaurant. I'm sure you'll find them as accommodating as we have over the years. You might even sneak in a little more variety while doing so, which may broaden (even slightly) his culinary options on your next trip.

Send more questions as you think of them, Eric; we love to help!
