Hello, Carol!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We are delighted to answer your question regarding your upcoming
Walt Disney World vacation!
First of all, you are going to LOVE the
Disney Dining Plan! The convenience of prepaying for your meals is SO NICE and really allows you to enjoy each dining experience without the hassle and stress of figuring out the cost of each meal.
Because the price of the Disney Dining Plan for your two nine-year old children are based on the child's price, they will need to order from the child's menu. Now, I do have two suggestions for you. The first suggestion would be use your adult Table-Service credit for one of your children and then you eat a child's meal. My wife did this several times when our son was nine-years old...when he would eat us out of house and home! Another suggestion would be to ask your Cast Member if your two children could order off the adult menu and use two of your adult Table-Service credits. Your Disney Dining credits are "pooled" together, so they are not assigned to one specific person or restaurant. If you do this, please realize that your adult Table-Service credits will be used up very quickly. Also, there could be some restaurants that will not allow you to do this. My recommendation would be to ask the Cast Member at the beginning of the meal if there is a specific adult entree your children REALLY want to eat.
If you have other questions, please let us know! We are here to help in any way!
Have a MAGICAL day!
