We purchased the dining plan and I have a question regarding the number of reservations I am making for sit down dinners and how we pay for the meals. If I make more reservations than allowed in our dining plan, can I choose which we pay cash for?

    Hi Nicole,

You most certainly can choose which meals you pay for out-of-pocket.  The best strategy, of course, is to use your Disney Dining Plan credits for your most expensive meals.  I highly recommend that you look at the menus before you arrive at Walt Disney World.  Copies of the menus for Walt Disney World restaurants are posted a variety of places online including at allears.net.  For the least expensive meals, simply inform your server at the beginning of the meal that you will paying with cash.  My family uses the Disney Dining Plan often and this is the strategy that we always use.  It has worked very well for us.

Let us know if you have any additional questions.  I love to answer questions about the amazing restaurants at Walt Disney World.

    Best wishes!
