Hi, there!
Welcome back to planDisney, Mia. We're delighted to see you again! It looks like your Disney vacation is only a month away now. How exciting! I bet you're counting down the days.
I'm a big fan of the
dining plans available to Guests of the Disney Resorts Collection. I just love the flexibility and convenience they add to my family's Disney vacations. As a mom of three, I need all the flexibility and convenience I can get! A Resort-Refillable Drink Mug is included with both the purchase of the Disney Dining Plan and the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan. You ask an excellent question about the mug included with your dining plan. Unfortunately, you cannot use the mug to exchange a drink from the self-service beverage islands at Resort hotels for a bottled beverage, like water. That said, I will tell you that I don't think the fountain water from the self-service beverage islands tastes at all unusual! I'm from Pennsylvania too, and I feel like I have a high sensitivity to water flavor (lots of people in my area have well water), but I've never found the water at Walt Disney World Resort to taste "off." I can also tell you that you can often select a bottle of water as your beverage for a quick-service meal.
Did you know you can
redeem a dining plan snack for a bottle of water? It's not necessarily the best use of dining plan snack in terms of value, but if a bottle of water is what you want, a bottle of water is what you should have! I like to use my dining plan snacks at the
theme parks Starbucks locations. Any size beverage is considered a snack, so I'm always sure to order my iced latte as a Venti!
I hope this was helpful, Mia. Please let us know if you have any other questions about your upcoming visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! As always, we'd love to help you plan a magical stay.
Ashley
