Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Stephanie!
My family and I really love the
Disney Dining Plan when we're on vacation because it makes it easy for everyone to choose exactly what they want to eat, and there's nothing more convenient than having all of those meals taken care of in advance.
The menu your children will order from when you use the Disney Dining Plan depends on how old they are. If you have kids between the ages of three and nine, they pay the children's price for the Dining Plan and must order from the kids' menu whenever there is one available. Kiddos age 10 and over are on the same Dining Plan as the adults and they can choose from the full menu. If you have an older child who still prefers the look of some of the things on the kids' menu, dining locations are super accommodating and can often prepare a big kid's portion of something more suited to their tastes.
If you have some adventurous eaters, there are lots of options for them on the Disney Dining Plan as well. They can test out some fine dining at
Flying Fish at
Disney's BoardWalk Inn and order a custom-created dinner with their choice of some awesome entrées like Wagyu Steak or Shrimp Scampi, or maybe they can try the Chicken Teriyaki at
Katsura Grill in
Epcot if you're having a Quick-Service lunch. If your kids have big appetites, maybe consider making a reservation at a buffet like
The Crystal Palace at
Magic Kingdom Park, or a family-style restaurant like
'Ohana at
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. That way they can eat as much as they want!
Have a magical day, Stephanie!
