Hi there, Lynn! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks so much for stopping by. I am so happy to chat about your upcoming trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth! During these unprecedented times, the Walt Disney World Resort understands that many Guests will need to make last minute changes in their plans. Because of this, cancellations are expected and there are policies in place to ensure that the process is as seamless as possible. Most recently, it was announced that all Disney-imposed cancellation fees would be waived for vacations with a start date up to and including October 3, 2020. The
Experience Updates Page outlines this and all other current policies and procedures regarding the much-anticipated recent reopening of Walt Disney World!
Regarding your individual circumstances, you can definitely cancel your reservation if you change your plans. You’ll be able to do so easily by contacting
Disney Guest Services via telephone, email or the chat function on the Disney World
website. Park Tickets should automatically reflect the newly extended expiration date of 9/26/2021, so you will have no problem being able to use them up until that date. If you happen to need additional time, you can contact Ticket Services in order to discuss applying the value of your Park Tickets toward the purchase of additional Park Tickets that will be valid over your rescheduled vacation dates. Of course, if you change vacation dates, you will also need to make new
Park Pass Reservations, and you will be able to check availability of your desired dates prior to re-booking easily online!
Lynn, I hope that this information helps you make plans for a magical visit to Walt Disney World whenever you feel the time is right for you and your loved ones. Here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, it is our pleasure to provide all the most current information regarding reopening procedures and happenings. Please do not hesitate to come back to see us anytime we can be of help again in the future!
See ya real soon!
