Hello and welcome to planDisney, Myra Jean. Thanks for cruising over to share this question with us.
Oh boy! You'll be experiencing the magic of the Disneyland Resort very soon. As you mentioned, the
California Resident Ticket Offer was recently announced. This offer is
valid for California residents who reside within zip codes 90000 to 96199. I'm so sorry to hear that the timing worked out where this announcement was made after you had purchased your theme park tickets. Unfortunately, Disneyland Resort theme park tickets are nonrefundable.
I do have some news that I hope is still helpful, Myra Jean. If you decide to move forward and purchase the California Resident Ticket Offer for your upcoming visit, the original 3-day park ticket that you purchased can be used at another time. There's even better news. If you aren't able to find another time to visit before the expiration date of the ticket, you can still use it for a future visit. The value of a
wholly unused, expired theme park ticket can be applied towards the purchase of a new theme park ticket as long as the price of the new ticket is equal to or greater than the amount paid for the original ticket.
Myra Jean, I'm sorry this is not the news that you were hoping for, however, I hope the information is still helpful. I hope you land on a solution that works best for you. Most importantly, I hope you have the best time at the Happiest Place on Earth. Please say hello to Mickey and Minnie for me. If you find yourself with other questions, please come back to ask us.
