Hello! We purchased a 6 day ticket to WDW and had to postpone due to hurricane Ian. We are now rebooked for June 2023. My son’s ticket says 3-9 but he will be turning 10 in May and needs an adult now. How do I resolve this without messing up reservations?

Hello Samantha, thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!

I’m happy to hear that you were able to reschedule your trip to Walt Disney World Resort after it was postponed. As a mom, I know we wish our children would never grow up but adjusting your son’s ticket will only take faith and trust, and a little bit of pixie dust!

In order to change your son’s ticket from a child’s ticket to a regular park ticket, you’ll need to call the number listed under “Existing Tickets” and a Cast Member will assist you in making the change. There may be a fee associated with changing the ticket from a child’s ticket to a regular ticket. I recommend calling as soon as possible, because you will need to reselect your theme park reservations, which are subject to availability.

Samantha, when your family visits in June, you’ll be able to visit some of the newest attractions like TRON Lightcycle / Run in Magic Kingdom Park, and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in EPCOT. Currently, you can access Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind by joining the virtual queue or by purchasing an Individual Lightning Lane. Both of these options can be completed through your My Disney Experience app. TRON Lightcycle / Run doesn’t officially open until April 4, 2023, so I recommend staying up to date with Disney Parks Blog for more announcements.

Enjoy your visit to Walt Disney World Resort, Samantha. If you have any more questions, feel free to visit me again at planDisney!
