Hi. I have purchased a 3 day ticket for my trip at the end of March. I would like to upgrade my ticket to a 4 day ticket. I don't want to wait until I get to the parks because I want to book my fast passes in advance. Can I do this? Thanks!

    Hey Lorri-

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. You just made my day! I love the fact that you have the ability to add an extra day to your upcoming magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Let’s not delay. Here’s what you need to do to start scheduling those additional FastPass+ reservations.

In order to get an additional day for your vacation you have two options.

    1. Either go online or call 407-WDISNEY (407-934-7639) to speak with a Cast Member about purchasing a single day ticket. You will have the advantage of scheduling FastPass+ reservations immediately for your March trip. The disadvantage of purchasing a single day ticket is that you will pay full price instead of the reduced multi-day price and you will have two tickets to manage.

    2. Visit with a Cast Member in person with a valid ID at a theme park ticketing window, at Guest Relations at Downtown Disney or at a resort concierge desk to create a 4-day ticket. The expense of additional days is the same as if you originally purchased the ticket that way. In your case you bought a 3-day ticket and now need to buy an additional day. The cost now will be as though you originally bought a 4-day ticket and will save you money over Option 1. The downside is that you will not be able to make FastPass+ reservations for your additional day until you arrive.

So the big decision is how much are those FastPass+ reservations worth to you. In my opinion, March is typically a very busy season and I would want every advantage to avoid long lines. If you use Option 1 then I would purchase a 1-Day Ticket to use at EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios or Disney's Animal Kingdom. These are less expensive than the 1-Day Tickets for the Magic Kingdom Park.

Have a blast and please say “Hi” to Mickey from me.

    Enjoy making many Magical Memories!
