Hi Jeff,
Thanks for stopping by to see us here at planDisney.
I think it's the nature of plans that plans change. When it comes to plans for visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, I feel one thing that won't change is the magic that will be there to experience when you do visit.
When you purchased your theme park tickets, you likely chose the day that you initially planned to visit the theme parks. This selected start date is the ticket's first valid use date. Theme park tickets have a
valid use timeframe based on the number of days on the ticket. For example, a 4-day ticket expires 7 days after the date you selected as your start date. The "Important Details" information that you see when you purchase theme park tickets will specify the timeframe as well as provide details for other Terms and Conditions.
You do have
the ability to make changes to theme park tickets including changing the ticket dates. Typically, you can make changes up to midnight (Eastern Time) the day before your selected start date using your
My Disney Experience account online or the
My Disney Experience mobile app.
With the current Terms and Conditions, Guests can apply the price paid for theme park tickets towards the purchase of new theme park tickets if their tickets are unused and expired.
Depending on how you think your plans might change, you might want to look at changing your ticket dates, or calling the Walt Disney World Resort ticketing team at (407)-566-4985 to discuss your options.
One planning note you'll want to keep in mind is to check the
Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar for dates you might be looking to visit. You'll want to get an idea on reservation availability so you can make your theme park reservations with the
Disney Park Pass system.
Jeff, here's wishing you a fun and wonderful visit to the Walt Disney World Resort, whether you visit for your originally planned travel dates or at a different time.
Jerry
