Hi, I purchased a 2 day ticket to 1 Park per day but I have meant to purchase the Park Hopper tickets, because I want to take my kids to Animal Kingdom in the morning and then the Water parks later. Is it possible to upgrade the tickets online or call?

    Hiya Chia,

Welcome to planDisney! Park Hopping is one of my favorite ways to experience Walt Disney World Resort. I love starting my day at a Theme Park and then heading to EPCOT after 2 pm to sample some festival offerings. It also gives me a chance to prioritize a mid-day nap by my Walt Disney World Resort Collection Hotel pool which is always a bonus for me. Speaking of pools, let’s see if we can get your current 2-day Theme Park tickets upgraded to include Park Hopper Plus or the Water Park and Sports Option.

Guests are welcome to add the Park Hopper Option Plus Option or Water Park and Sports Option to a pre-purchased Standard Theme Park ticket. Before I go over the how-to, let me explain the what. I mentioned two options for tickets that you could purchase: The Water Park and Sports Option and the Park Hopper Plus Option. If you still want to stick to just one Theme Park per day and visit Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park for two visits (based on the two-day Theme Park ticket), I would suggest purchasing the Water Park and Sports Option. However, if you also want the option to Park Hop to any of the other Theme Parks on top of a water park visit, then you will need to purchase the Park Hopper Plus Option. I personally prefer the Park Hopper Plus Option because it gives me access to more Theme Parks (who doesn’t love Kilimanjaro Safari in the morning and Disney’s Enchantment Nighttime Spectacular in the evening), but the choice is yours. Once you decide, you can upgrade your current Theme Park tickets in two ways (through the My Disney Experience mobile app or in-person at Guest Relations). Note, if you decide to upgrade your Theme Park tickets in person, you will need to do so before entering any of the Theme Parks.

To upgrade using the My Disney Experience mobile app:

    - Open the app and click the three horizontal lines in the bottom right-hand corner.
    - Select “Tickets and Passes” from the menu next.
    - Select the tickets you would like to upgrade and choose the “Change Ticket” option to add on
the Park Hopper Option+ or Water Park and Sports Option.
    - Note if there is a difference in the price, you will be prompted to enter payment before
      confirming.

I hope this was helpful, and you can add water park fun to your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation.

    Happy Planning,
