Hi there, I purchased a 1day pass for next weekend but want to upgrade to a 2 day pass. Is that possible? Or do I need to pay for another full price 1-day ticket?

Hey there, hi there, Rob! Welcome to planDisney. We're so glad you're here!

Your visit to Disneyland Resort is fast approaching and I'm excited to hear you are wanting to spend more time than originally planned in the parks. I think that is always an excellent idea! I have good news and that is that you are able to upgrade a ticket. Ticket upgrades can be done at the Main Entrance Ticket Booth in the Esplanade. Please note that when you upgrade your ticket, this will cancel your theme park ticket reservation for your date. This is because reservations are tied to tickets and you will be getting a new ticket. This means it could be a risky plan, as you will need to make theme park ticket reservations after you upgrade for those days and they could potentially be full. If you have any other questions about ticket upgrades or options, I recommend reaching out to Ticket Services

I also have a tip for you! While a lot of times (especially on weekends) a 2-day ticket is usually the best option. However, sometimes it's actually cheaper to buy two 1-day tickets. This is because the 1-day tickets are tiered and have different pricing. I recommend looking at the 1-day prices for the dates you are visiting and comparing them to the 2-day ticket cost to see which is the best option for you.

Rob, thanks again for stopping by! I hope you are able to secure the best option to enjoy that extra day. There is so much to see and do, especially with the Disney100 Celebration happening now!
