Hello Samantha! Welcome to planDisney!
I am sorry to hear that you can no longer visit the Walt Disney World Resort and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, but don’t worry—
Slinky Dog Dash,
Lunch Box Tarts, and the
Twilight Zone Tower of Terror will be waiting for you on your next visit!
Unfortunately, tickets cannot be transferred or reimbursed, but if you log into your
My Disney Experience app, tap on the menu icon (three horizontal lines in the bottom right corner), select “My Tickets and Passes,” then choose the ticket you’re unable to use you should see fine print under the “Valid Ticket Dates,” section. It states that “after the expiration date, the price paid for a wholly unused ticket can be applied to the purchase of a new ticket with an equal or higher price.” There was a time when you could change the dates of unused tickets via the app or online, but that function seems to have disappeared like Tarzan deep into the jungle. You could try the phone number for Existing Tickets found in the Reservations and Tickets section of the
Help Center to see if they still have the ability to change your ticket date to a future date.
To be safe, I recommend writing down the ticket IDs or confirmation numbers if/when the tickets lapse because they were not used by your original dates. Cast Members can locate your unused tickets in your account and apply their value to new ones when you book your new vacation dates.
I hope you can reschedule your visit sooner rather than later, Samantha! Please visit us at planDisney if you have any additional questions; we would be happy to help!
See you real soon!
