Michelle from AZ Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

We purchased 5 3-day park hopper tickets at our Air Force Base but when I try to register it is telling me 3 of them are already in use (and shows me the names). We just purchased these last Friday. I'm not sure what to do?

    Hi Michelle!

Welcome to planDisney! I'm happy to be your planEAR today!

I'm a Military spouse and am very familiar with the wonderful Disneyland Resort Disney Military Promotional Theme Park Hopper Ticket, aka 'Disney's Military Salute Tickets' and this does sound very, VERY odd indeed! I sadly don't have the proper magic mirror to see what, exactly, you see on your end of your My Disneyland Account or in your Disneyland Mobile App, but I have a few guesses. First off, are the names anyone you know? Due to Disneyland's reopening time frame last year, instead of releasing separate Military tickets for 2021 and then another set for 2022 the two were merged into one offer that has been giving some folks some issues if they are trying to visit in both yEARs. Another thought I'm having is that sometimes the system can be glitchy and show a remaining ticket or parking lot pass when it's already been used. But that still doesn't explain the names already attached to these tickets. I'm confident that had you already been at your limit of six (6) tickets in a calendar year or for this two-year promotion, you wouldn't have been able to purchase more tickets. My only other thought is that maybe your base sold the three problem tickets to someone else first, they were somehow able to be returned, and the base sold them to you unknowingly after they had already been linked to the other person's account first? (But that also doesn't make sense because aren't tickets printed on demand as they're purchased?)

This is the mystery of the yEAR, Michelle!! (I've had a very slow start to the year.) And again, I'm so sorry that this is happening to you. Your best bet is to contact the Disneyland Resort Ticket Help Line at (714) 781-4636 to see if they can track down the official issue on the system side of things. But be ready to also drive back to base and let them know that you need to switch out the tickets for new ones. Call before you go up there so you can speak to a manager or find out when one will be in. Let them know what is going on from your end as well as what Disney said. And definitely dig up your receipt and any screenshots to take with you.

I do hope that things get resolved very quickly, Michelle. In the meantime, be sure to follow the official planDisney Instagram account where we're sharing all kinds of tips and tricks. But also check in with the Disney Parks Blog too as they've already teased what to expect for the upcoming Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival which happens to kick off right before your visit to Mickey's house! We'll See You Real Soon, Michelle! And if you have any more Disneyland Resort vacation planning questions, We're All Ears!
