Hi there, Desiree! Welcome to planDisney!
First of all, I wish your son the happiest of birthdays in March! We just celebrated my younger son’s birthday last weekend, and he had the best time hanging out with his favorite characters at
‘Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. What’s better than a huge birthday hug from Mickey Mouse himself?!
When using a ticket with a
Park Hopper option, you most definitely can start your visit at Magic Kingdom Park, head to another theme park, and return to your adventure’s initial destination in time to see
Disney Enchantment fireworks. Keep in mind that in order to do this, you’ll need
theme park availability for your ticket type (check the availability calendar) and then create a Disney Park Pass reservation for your first park (in your case, Magic Kingdom Park). You must enter Magic Kingdom Park first before park hopping after 2 p.m. (subject to theme park capacity). The transportation between the parks will provide the perfect opportunity for your little one to take that midday nap.
My favorite part about visiting the Disney theme parks when my little ones were under 3 years old is that they did not need a theme park ticket to enter, and they could eat for free at the restaurants with all-you-care-to-enjoy meals like at
The Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom Park and
Hollywood & Vine at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
AN EXTRA GEM: Don’t forget to grab the birthday boy a celebratory (and complimentary) birthday button from Guest Relations or some shops along Main Street, U.S.A. in Magic Kingdom Park. Then, if you want to take it up a notch, visit
Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe in Liberty Square. There, for a fee, you can add a bit of magical flare to the button by having it customized with a beautifully handwritten message. It makes for a sweet family keepsake!
Desiree, you all are going to have an amazing family vacation to the Most Magical Place on Earth! If you have any further questions, don’t hesitate to
revisit us here at planDisney.
Magic always,
LeAndra
