Hello Janette,
Welcome to planDisney! It's great to hear you're considering upgrading your 3-day Park Hopper Ticket to extend the magic for a full year of fun at
Disneyland Resort. Purchasing a
Magic Key will allow you more time in the parks to make magical memories, and most come with some great added perks, too!
The good news is YES! You can
upgrade your current ticket to a Magic Key, subject to availability and some additional restrictions. Let's walk through the details together.
First, if your multi-day ticket is wholly unused and not expired you should be able to upgrade to an available Magic Key in the
Disneyland App before you arrive. You'll need to be sure the Magic Key selected is of equal or greater value than your tickets. Keep in mind that any
theme park reservations associated with your tickets would not automatically transfer upon upgrade to a Magic Key. You'd need to make new reservations for the days your plan to visit the parks, subject to
blockout dates. I'd also recommend reviewing the
current terms and conditions prior to the upgrade.
If you've already started using your ticket, you would need to upgrade on or before your last day of valid admission entitlement. Your Magic Key would be backdated to the first date your ticket was used.
At this time only the
Inspire Key appears to be available for new sales. This is always subject to change so keep your eye out for announcements if this is not the Magic Key you'd like to purchase. The Inspire Key currently offers guests the ability to hold up to 6 theme park reservations at a time, complimentary standard theme park parking, unlimited PhotoPass downloads, and discounts on
Disney Genie+ Service as well as select dining and merchandise.
I hope this helped Janette. Please come back and see us again with any other questions. We'd be happy to assist!
Magic and memories,
Amy
