    Sarah from WA Asked

Purchased a 5 day 1 park a day ticket, but have decided we wanted to hop the last day of our trip. Are we able to change the last day into a hopper?

    Hi Sarah,

Whoo hoo! You're going to The Happiest Place on Earth in just about one month! That's around the time that my family starts our countdown chain. We draw the number of days remaining until our trip along with pictures of all the things we're looking forward to on paper links, then tear one off each day and dance along with a song we made up. I figure the more time we can enjoy with some pixie-dusted magic in our day, the better!

I'm happy to share that, yes, upgrades are possible! While subject to change, it currently costs $55 to upgrade a One Park Per Day ticket to a Park Hopper ticket. Since the cost remains the same whether you're hopping for one day or five, I'd recommend stopping by a ticket booth and upgrading your ticket at the beginning of your trip. You never know when you'll be in the mood to experience Mickey's Mix Magic at Disneyland Park at the end of a special day or will wish you could participate in another Animation Academy at Disney California Adventure Park. The flexibility to hop between the two parks is always great, and if you are planning to upgrade one day anyway, why not take advantage of the ability to hop at any point during your visit?

Park-hopping privileges currently begin each day at 1:00 PM, pending any capacity limitations. You'll need a theme park reservation for the first park you plan on visiting each day, but then you'll be able to come and go as you'd like between either park each afternoon and evening.

Thanks so much for visiting us at planDisney, Sarah, and please let us know if we can help with anything else as you're thinking through the details of your trip. I hope you have a truly magical vacation!
