Hey Beth!
A very warm welcome to planDisney! Thanks for dropping by with your question!
So far, the Disneyland Resort
announced expiration date extensions for non-promotional single day tickets that expire on March 31, 2021 and wholly unused, non-promotional multi-day tickets that expire on January 12, 2021 or April 13, 2021. These tickets will have the expiration date extended to December 16, 2021.
No announcements have been made regarding tickets that expire in 2022. But with the recent announcement that the Disneyland Resort will
reopen on April 30th, I'm hoping that you’ll have a chance to use your tickets prior to expiration. But, if you're unable to visit before expiration, don't worry! According to
eTicket Terms & Conditions, unless otherwise stated, the amount paid for any wholly unused, expired Disneyland Resort theme park ticket (with the exception of
Special Event Tickets) may be applied towards the purchase of a new theme park admission ticket at the current price. The new ticket purchase price must be equal to or greater than the amount paid for the original ticket. When you’re ready to visit, simply go to a Main Entrance ticket booth and, ask a Cast Member to apply your eligible ticket amount towards a new ticket purchase.
When the Disneyland Resort announced a reopening date for the theme parks, the announcement stated that the theme parks will utilize a reservation system to manage attendance. This reservation will be required in addition to valid theme park admission. So if you already have your tickets, you’re halfway there! Stayed tuned to the
Disney Parks Blog for more information about the Disneyland Resort reservation system.
