Patty from CA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I just purchased 3-day california residence passes. Do I need to make a theme park reservation still? It has the dates on the email.

    Hi Patty!

Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney! Oooh, the current California Resident Ticket Offer is such a great value! I'm so excited that you've been able to plan a few Disney days in July!

Yes, one of the new post-pandemic procedures is that in addition to purchasing a Theme Park Admission Ticket, each Guest also needs a Park Pass Reservation. Park Pass Reservations sort of tell Mickey and his pals which park you and your crew will be playing in on which days. Park Pass Reservations open for booking 120 days in advance and have been known to book up solid in the weeks leading up to specific Disney dates. I just checked the Park Pass Reservation Calendar, and at the time of this answer, there are openings for both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park for the week of your visit, but do hurry to reserve your park passes as I'd hate for you to miss out!

Speaking of new Disneyland things, have you hEARd about the brand new Disney Genie+ add-on? It's very similar to the MaxPass system of yesteryEAR where you can book Lightning Lane attraction reservations right from your Disneyland Mobile App. Plus, Disney Genie+ also grants access to download all of your Disneyland PhotoPass on-ride and with-photographer photos taken the same day of the Genie+ purchase!

I hope that this helped to clEAR up your question, Patty! Be sure to follow the official planDisney Instagram account where we're sharing all kinds of tips and tricks. And if you have any more Disneyland Resort vacation planning questions, We're All Ears!
