Cassie from CA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I purchased a 3 day so cal ticket and had Friday Apr 14th booked. I chose to upgrade my ticket to a pass. I knew my existing reservations would be canceled so I went in to rebook my dates and they were still booked. Now canceled and no more availability.

Hey there, Cassie. Welcome to planDisney. Congratulations on unlocking a year of magic and becoming a Magic Key holder! We're so glad you're here and I'm pleased to help with your question.

Oh dear, I'm so sorry to hear this Cassie. You are correct that when upgrading a theme park ticket to a Magic Key pass, you unfortunately lose any existing reservations that were made with your theme park ticket. However, don't lose all hope. I've been in this situation a few times in the past and have been fortunate enough to snag a last-minute reservation.

I recommend frequently checking the Magic Key Calendar throughout the day to see if the availability changes. Guests' plans often change and you will see reservations open up. You might also want to double-check availability towards the end of the night as this is a time when other Guests may be canceling. Quick tip: if you see availability open up for either park, I would book the reservation because you can always hop over to the other park starting at 11:00 AM. You can also make day-of reservations so be sure to check the calendar tomorrow too.

Cassie, I'm sorry this probably isn't the answer you were looking for, however, I hope I was able to provide some helpful information. Keep holding on to hope and I'll be sending all the pixie dust your way.
