shopping by planDisney! Like you, I'm loving the recently released Walt Disney World merchandise. I actually just purchased a
perfecto Encanto dress that I would wear every day if I could! While some items from the
online Disney Store can be found in the theme parks, it is not guaranteed, so I completely understand why you went ahead with your online order. Unfortunately, Walt Disney World Resort is unable to personalize previously purchased items, even if those items are official Disney merchandise. I just spoke with a Cast Member who shared that when submitting purchases for embroidery, Guests will need to present a same-day receipt along with the item.
I know this is not what you were hoping to hear, Emily, but as my husband will
reluctantly confirm, I am pretty talented when it comes to shopping for magical souvenirs, so I'm happy to provide you with a bit of advice. First, if your heart was set on using this particular bag for your vacation, you could always have it personalized locally before your trip, or you could also wait to see if the bag is available for purchase in person at Walt Disney World, have it personalized there, and then return the first bag you purchased online (as long as it is still within the
return window).
On a personal note, if I see something I love online but have a magical vacation on the horizon, I typically wait to see if I can purchase it (or something I love even more) in person. In my experience, you'll find some items priced a bit lower in storefronts than online. If, once I return home, I still need to make the purchase digitally, I will complete the order and happily await my magical mail.
