Hi Nicole,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question, my fellow Canadian and Nexus member!
I’m happy to hear that you were able to take advantage of the
Special Offer for Canadian residents for discounted
Theme Park Tickets - it really is a great deal. I’m happy to say that, based on my experience, you should be able use your Canadian driver’s license as proof of residency in order to activate your tickets at
Guest Relations or a ticket window before entering your first Theme Park.
As for your children, you should be ok if you only show a picture of their passport on your mobile device or a paper copy when you activate their tickets. I’d recommend having a picture of your passport as well as your husband’s on hand, just in case.
Finally, a bit of a travelling tip from a Canadian who recently used her Nexus card to travel to the United States: the new Nexus kiosks that are in use at several Canadian airports require you to scan your passport for photo recognition purposes in order to be able to use them (at least for the first time, from what I’ve been able to understand). You may have received an email from Nexus regarding this new procedure. Although I completely understand not wanting to have your passport with you if you have a Nexus card (I typically don’t), it might be a good idea to bring it along this time, just to make sure that your travels to and from the U.S. go smoothly.
Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions! We’re always happy to help!
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
