Hey there Melissa,
Welcome to planDisney and thanks so much for your question! I'm happy to hear you were able to take advantage of the fantastic
California Resident Ticket Offer. It's such a great deal!
As with other theme park tickets for the Disneyland Resort, once a ticket is scanned for entry to a park for the first time, it becomes locked to the person that used it for the remainder of its use. This is done by the Cast Member at the entry gate who will snap a quick photo of the ticket holder, which then locks that person in as its user.
However, prior to that first ticket scan, the ticket is not typically locked in to an individual. Though with the California Resident Ticket Offer, ticket users are also asked for a valid government-issued photo ID on admission as well to confirm each ticket holder is a California resident within ZIP codes 90000-96199, as noted in the "Important Details" section of the offer page.
Therefore, if your friend does not have a government-issued ID showing proof of residency, or if your husband would like to use the other two days left on this promotional visit, then I would recommend instead that you all reschedule your
park reservations for a different day that you're both able to make it!
One of the other great perks of this promotional ticket is that you can use the 3 days on nonconsecutive days between now and May 21, 2026, so you've still got plenty of time to fit those visits in.
Thanks again for your question, Melissa! I hope you have a wonderful time visiting the parks over the next few months.
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
