Once a
MagicBand has been assigned to a specific guest in the My Disney Experience system, it cannot be reassigned to someone else. MagicBands are linked to the individual guest's profile, and for security and privacy reasons, they are non-transferable. Because of this, if you’re trying to assign the MagicBand to your granddaughter, the system won’t allow it. If your granddaughter needs a new MagicBand, you’ll find plenty of options at various locations throughout Walt Disney World, including resort gift shops and merchandise locations in the parks. You can also browse and purchase MagicBands in advance through the
Disney Store online for even more selection.
Michelle, I'd like you to know there are other options in addition to the MagicBands. Disney
MagicMobile Service is a great alternative. This service is a feature of the My Disney Experience app. This app feature offers quick and easy access to the theme parks and Disney Resort hotel amenities through an iPhone, Apple Watch or Android phone. Your granddaughter (or her mom) will be able to use Disney MagicMobile Service to enter the theme parks (with valid admission), link Disney PhotoPass images to her Disney account, check in at virtual queue and Lightning Lane entrances.
