Hi Thomas! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Congrats on becoming a
Walt Disney World Annual Passholder! How exciting! I absolutely love the flexibility that comes with an Annual Pass. Being able to visit the theme parks more often is amazing, but so are the many, many
benefits that are available like complimentary theme park parking, merchandise and dining discounts,
PhotoPass downloads, and even exclusive merchandise and events ... just to name a few!
When I spoke with a Cast Member regarding your question, I was informed that you will probably have to pay for
parking the first time you enter the theme parks since your Annual Pass will not yet be activated. However, I was also told that if you hang on to your receipt and head to
Guest Relations after your Annual Pass is activated, you should be able to be reimbursed for that day of parking. You also have the option to visit
Disney Springs first and activate your Annual Pass at Guest Relations there. Then when you head to the theme parks, you will have your Annual Pass card and it can be used to obtain free parking.
I hope this helps and that you enjoy your year of being an Annual Passholder, Thomas! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
