I purchased annual passes and linked them to our magic bands that we purchased. We can go directly to a park without going to guest relations, correct? I think the only reason we will need to go to Guest Relations is for the discount cards, correct?

Hey there, James! Welcome to planDisney!

It looks like your next Walt Disney World Resort vacation is just around the river bend - and you'll be sporting brand new MagicBands to boot! Now let's make sure you have everything you need to hit the theme parks as Annual Passholders.

Linking your Annual Passes and MagicBands to your My Disney Experience account ahead of time is a great idea and will save you some time, but you do still need to activate your passes before you can use them to enter the parks. That means a visit to the Guest Relations window to have a Cast Member get your passes all squared away. But there is a way you can skip the windows and save that precious park time, James! If you'll be in town a day or so before you plan to visit the theme parks, take a little jaunt over to Disney Springs and have your passes activated at the Disney Ticket Center there. It's quick and easy to access, and your future self will thank you for getting the activation done in advance! Plus, who doesn't love a day of shopping and dining at Disney Springs to kick off your magical vacation?

This is a practically perfect time to be a Walt Disney World Annual Passholder, James. The World's Most Magical Celebration is well underway, with over a year of pixie-dusted wonder to behold. I'm absolutely loving how the theme parks are all decked out, and the 50th Anniversary treats are totally worth the extra calories!

I hope this helps you plan your Disney days, James. Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a magical year making memories at the Walt Disney World Resort!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
