If I purchased annual passes a few months ago, but I have not yet activated them (going to do so in December 2016), am I able to take advantage of the recent perk of an extra month for the 45th anniversary? Also, can I use a prior magic band?

    Hi Kathleen,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question.

The answer to your first question is… possibly! Last year, we purchased our Annual Passes before the price increase/addition of extra included features (like Memory Maker). When we activated them, after these new perks had been introduced, we were able to “upgrade” to the equivalent “new” Annual Pass at no extra cost. I’ve heard conflicting information about whether the extra month will be available to people who have previously purchased their Annual Pass, but it definitely seems possible, so I would ask when you visit Guest Relations to activate your pass.

Finally, any active MagicBand associated with your My Disney Experience account (to which your Theme Park Ticket is linked) will work in order to allow you to enter the Theme Park of your choice with your new Annual Pass.

Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions!

    Have a Magical Day,
