If I purchase a wine package through Onboard Gifts I know I can have wine at dinner but can a bottle be sent or taken to my stateroom so I can enjoy it there too?

Ahoy there, Lori! I thought I saw your colors flying off the port bow! Glad to have you alongside again here at planDisney! Another day closer to your cruise in May - it won't be long now, and as Tiana always says...you're almost there!

Ah, a wine drinker, I see! Of all the things that you can add to make your Disney Cruise Line vacation even more magical, selecting a wine package ahead of time from Onboard Gifts is a great way to add a bit of pixie dust to your sailing! My wife and I don't always purchase the wine package, but when we do, we prefer a nice Malbec. Lucky for us there always seems to be one of those on the wine list, and sometimes a Tempranillo can even be found (watch the list, as it does occasionally change!

I'm happy to say that yes, it's possible to have the wine from your package in your stateroom! The few times we've ordered a wine package before embarkation, we've arrived in our stateroom to a gift message card, which indicated a location for gift redemption. And while the intent of the wine packages is that you'll enjoy your bottles with dinner, one of our favorite things to do is to taste one of our bottles with dinner, ask for a short pour, and take the bottle back to our stateroom to enjoy at our leisure! There's just something about the constant gentle motion of the ship that really lets a wine open up! Oh, and remember you can also select individual bottles of wine to have waiting for you in your stateroom when you arrive!

And if for some reason you don't finish a bottle, or decide not to take it back to your room, your dining team will store it and rotate it with you to your next evening's dinner. Now that's a perk of rotational dining that not everyone gets to experience!

I hope that helps you uncork a little extra magic on your sailing, Lori! Thank you so much for your question, and if you find yourself with an empty bottle and another question, you know where to send it my way here at planDisney!

    À votre santé!
