If I purchase a WDW resort and ticket package and I only pay the minimum at booking, can I still make my park reservations? Or do I have to pay the full amount first?

Hey there! Welcome to planDisney. We’re so glad you’re here!

Congratulations on booking your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! You are on your way to the adventure of a lifetime, and I am just SO excited for you to experience the magic. Speaking of magic, did you know you’ll be visiting during The World's Most Magical Celebration in honor of Walt Disney World’s 50th? It really is such an incredible time to be there, with EARidescent special touches at every corner. Be sure to keep an eye out for the golden sculptures of your favorite Characters located all around the parks as a part of the Disney Fab 50 Character Collection. Then, for a fun little game as you walk around, have your group keep track and see who can be the first to stop all 50 characters. The winner gets a Mickey bar or DOLE Whip! My vote is for a DOLE Whip for sure!

One of my favorite things about booking a Walt Disney World vacation is that I can make payments to my vacation package over time, making it much easier to afford the visit! It’s just so helpful to be able to chip away at my balance in the months leading up to the vacation rather than having to pay everything all at once. PLUS, you can start planning all the little details of your trip with just the initial deposit paid. So, to answer your question, you can absolutely make your Park Pass Reservations with just your minimum deposit paid. Great news, right? Just be sure to keep in mind that the due date of the final payment of any Walt Disney World Resort vacation is set as 30 days before your arrival date. I like to set a reminder on my calendar so I don’t forget to log in and pay off my remaining balance.

Now, to make your Park Pass Reservations, click on the “+” in the middle of the navigation bar of your My Disney Experience app and click on “Make a Park Reservation.” From there, click on “Theme park Tickets,” and a separate browser window will open. You can then select the members of your party, the date of your visit, and the park you would like to reserve, and follow the prompts to complete. And just like that, you’re all set!

I do hope this answer has been helpful to you! You are visiting during such a wonderful time with so much to do and see at Walt Disney World! So, please visit us again soon if you have any questions or want to hear some of our recommendations. We would love to help make your vacation as magical as possible!

    See you real soon!
