Well hello there, Danielle, and welcome to planDisney. It gives me the deepest pride and greatest pleasure to help a fellow Georgian. One of the best parts about living in Georgia is how easy it is to get to Walt Disney World Resort. October will be a spook-tacular time to visit especially with Magic Kingdom Park all decorated for the not-to-miss
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
Great news,
Disney Resort Hotel package tickets are upgradable to
annual passes for non-Florida residents. You may upgrade theme park tickets as long as you have not used all the days on the ticket. To upgrade, visit a ticket window or Guest Services desk at any theme park or the
Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs. They will take the value of the entire vacation package ticket (magically calculated from your Disney Vacation Package) and apply the cost to the annual pass. Your annual pass use-year will start the first day you used the original ticket. Currently, the only
annual pass available (and subject to availability) for non-Florida residents is the Disney Incredi-Pass. Also, all Guests on the vacation package are eligible for the upgrade but each member can make the choice to upgrade or not.
planDisney Pro Tip: Here are some things to think about. While Resort Hotel packages give you
Magic Extras, Annual Passes also provide benefits and discounts that may rival the Walt Disney World Resort vacation package savings especially when you add up the room, parking, merchandise, and dining discounts. The typical break-even point is about 10 days. If you will visit Walt Disney World Resort for 10 nonconsecutive days and plan to park hop then the annual pass may be your best value.
Danielle, please let me know
if you have any follow-up questions and I will get you the answer faster than Dash Parr can run.
Enjoy making many Magical Memories.
