Hi Kelly. My very warmest welcome to planDisney.
As the current U.K. panelist, I know that Disney gift cards that can be used in the Parks in Florida may only be purchased on Disney property or with a U.S. shipping address. Please know that the gift cards available from the
U.K. shopDisney website may not be used at the Parks.
We like to purchase Disney Gift Cards on arrival for our kids to stick to a budget for treats. They even think of the cards as a souvenir, as they are super cute! It's a quick and easy purchase at any onsite retail location. You can add from as little as $25 up to $500 if you're feeling particularly generous - indeed, buying a gift card is one of my top tips for sticking to a budget! I see that your arrival date is set for the month before Christmas. There is so much tempting festive merchandise available at this time it's easy to get swept away with merry purchases, so setting a budget in advance is a very wise idea!
Please remember that if you're using a U.K. ( or any non-American) credit or debit card, your bank may charge you a fee for every transaction, which can really add up. There are fee-free cards international cards available that you can link to your
My Disney Experience and use throughout the parks, but making a single Gift Card purchase can also help reduce international fees. You can also use the gift card to take advantage of
Mobile Food and Beverage ordering in the parks too!
Kelly, I hope this information is helpful. You are visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth at one of the most enchanting times of year - I know you will have the best time! Please pop back here with any other questions, Louise.
